Andrew Miller Couse was elected as a Director in 2026 and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of First Bank. He brings a comprehensive understanding of community banking, with experience across a wide range of operational, regulatory, and leadership roles within the organization.

He joined the Bank in 2005 and developed his career from the ground up, beginning as a teller and progressing through multiple departments, including commercial lending. He has held key leadership positions such as BSA Officer, E-Banking Officer, Information Security Officer, Retail Banking Officer, and Chief Operating Officer.

He is actively involved in industry leadership, serving on the board of the Florida Bankers Association and as the Florida representative to the Independent Community Bankers Association Federal Delegate Board. He also serves on the ICBA Innovation and Solutions Committee.

Mr. Couse earned a degree in Music Education from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

He is engaged in his local community, serving on the boards of the Rotary Club of Clewiston, the Glades County Economic Council, and the Moore Haven High School Scholarship Organization.
