Moore Haven, FL--March 7, 2009-- Glades County native Miller Couse is the Grand Marshall for the 2009 Chalo Nitka Festival and parade. Long known for his philanthropy, the Chalo Nitka Festival Committee voted to honor Mr. Couse in recognition of his work to bring the new First Bank branch to Moore Haven, creating much needed new jobs in the community and his work to develop the new Haven Homes subdivision behind the bank, which is expected to provide much needed workforce housing in Glades County.
Currently the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Bank, Mr. Couse is also the President of the Florida Bankers Association, Chairman of the Hendry Regional Medical Center, Hospital Authority Board, and active in the Clewiston Lions Club, Rotary, the Museum Board, Cross Training Ministries, and the AGAPE Home.
